This blog is one year old. If I could give a website a cupcake, I would. Especially, because it moved homes at a very crucial milestone. Y’all, I did an internet thing and we survived. Well, my last two blog posts have disappeared, but the rest of them made the journey from Bluehost to GoDaddy.
Do you care? Probably not, but I’m really proud of myself for switching my website from one host to another.
I started this blog a year ago partly to make sure I could still string along a sentence and communicate a thought. Like exercise for my fingers…and I suppose my brain. My writing style has changed a lot in the last three years. I’ve left AP Style on the shelf and I’ve picked up “Olivia speak” for every post. I’ve had a lot of people tell me I write how I talk and I really don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I suppose it depends on who’s saying it.
Since it’s my internet birthday, I’ll share with you just a few of my personal faves. I’ve shared about:
- The good work at Lighthouse Central Florida in Do Good Work: Part II
- One of the most eventful days as a mom in The Highest of Highs and the Lowest of Lows
- My thoughts on Vacationing With Kids
So, I’m here for another year. I hope you’ll be here too and maybe share with a friend. I’d love to hear what you want to read about. If there’s something you need to share with the world, I would love to share this space with you.
So, thank you for tagging along. Thank you for telling me you read my blog (and for smiling as you said it). Thank you for participating in the conversation. Thank you for being here.
